Puerto Rico is
an island the size of Delaware and Rhode Island combined. The capital of Puerto Rico is San Juan.
Puerto Rico's climate is tropical, with warm and
sunny weather. It rains but mainly between May and Decemeber. Temperatures average 70' F to 80' F year-round.
Puerto Rico has
a population of about 3.9 million and grows at an average annual rate of 0.51 percent. More than 95 percent of the people
are native Puerto Rican, with a mixed Spanish, African, and Taino hertiage.
Spanish and English
are the official langueages of Puerto Rico. Spanish use to be the offical langueage but since Puerto Rico's close realationship
with the United States english was then inherited. Many people in Puerto Rico mix up both langueages and speak spanglish.
